Re: City Club Paderborn
The one you are thinking about, was painted a shade of red & was/is a knocking shop. The one in the picture, is just off the ring & was a heavy metal type club/bar that was notorious for drugs & the RMP/SIB always carried out sting operations there.

Re: City Club Paderborn
I hate to differ on the Gyros mate but, if you walked past this one on your right, crossed the pedestrian area/bridge, just on the left was a Greek restaurant with a tiny kiosk on the front, all they did was Gyros until our pressure got them to install a frier so we could have 'pommes mit mayo' alongside..............."Mmmmmmmmmm Lekker!" as the Hun would say. DEFINATELY the best Gyros in town!! The one in your picture was the one where, while rescueing me ol' pal 'Hacker' from the clutches of the QLR <Hawk, Spit> in the City Club, it took me 2 attempts to get food as Hacker was busy performing on the roof of our taxi!!!!!!!!!

Yes thats the one a nice shade of red and the sweet smell of pot as you entered.(not that I ever had a mind to try it).
And I agree A3B the best gyros was the one next to the Greekys.
F*** its making me hungry just writing about it.

Turned out Paderborner Brewery was twinned with Vaux and I was sat looking at a pub I used to drive past every day on me way to work.

Can't believe no one has mentioned the Gallery just down the road from Alanbrooke but before the TOC H. What a weird place that was. Convenient place to change into your trainers as 15/19 guardroom would not allow singlies to 'Book Out' wearing them.

Re: City Club Paderborn
I remember stopping for a Gyros outside the Grill-Kos - we were on a 432 Cadre and wanted something better than a horror box for lunch. 25 squaddies made for good business but the 3 x 432s made a right mess of the kerbs!
