Re: By request - artwork.
Right, It's confirmed, I'm booked into Tankfest with my little stall...........inside the Museum both Saturday and Sunday. I'm currently having all my originals board mounted ready for people to frame 'off the shelves' themselves and they'll be cheaper than on my site as no postage etc. I will have very very few prints on sale...................to order yes but on sale no, I can't afford to print off what the supplier wants of each print.
T Shirts yes albeit in mainly limited numbers (loads of Armoured Farmers XL and XXL), book...signing.... yes, 3 new car stickers 2 for RTR (1 'The original Heavy Metal band' and 1 'Tankies do it on tracks') and 1 'Heavy Armoured rules - Sucking on diesel').
Both JLR and 3RTR Embroidered Polo shirts available to order only.
So fellas, if you're going.............make sure you pop by and say hello ...............and bring your cheque books or cash!!!!
NODUF - Get over to my new website www.malcyart.co.uk It contains great artwork (so I'm told) and you can buy it at very reasonable prices or even commission me for a personal piece for yourself!!

Sadly, that was the last post I'll be doing on this thread. Hopefully it'll remain for posterity however, keep popping by my website for updates.
Cheers

'Gunners' my friend
They are really good and I'm full of such ideas but, sadly funds lack to be able to produce them plus........................I think that quality of design is 'vinyl' to keep the detail................they are cheap to produce relatively speaking but.....................quality through washing etc is not fantastic and, assuming people iron their shirts.....there is a risk that one could be at home to Mr and Mrs Cock up?!?!?!?!

Re: By request - artwork.
well, job loss means I am now going to be trying to make my way by going full time into plying my wares as long as someone will help fund my startup. IF I can make enough money at it I may even sponsor a thread on Arrse.

Re: By request - artwork.
Just to let thee know......I've updated the print collection of my website shop page......offers a more professional image and........more importantly.......better value for cash!!! Oh yes, there are now more prints too, including some WW2 German stuff...........seeing as so many people have asked for them!!!
My artwork is now going full time as an occupation as unemployment is doing my swede in!!!! In line with this I will be supporting the RBL Poppy appeal virtually full time along with The Army Benevolent Fund. Others will benefit but on a more Ad Hoc basis. H4H I feel is currently getting a lot of (well deserved) attention and long may it continue but, The ABF and RBL always have been and will remain a much more long term proposition not only for the poor lads and lasses coming home from conflict but, also for them and their families in the future. I will continue to support H4H but, on a slightly lower level. There are so many good causes..it's hard to choose!!

Re: RDG Heavy Brigade T Shirt design
Here we go................risking life and limb at the hands of the powers that be. Anyway, after the launch of the 'Light Brigade' T Shirt on my website, I thought it only fair that there should be a 'Heavy Brigade' one. Now, I know the Greys were there too. They are mentioned on the back but the shirt is designed for the Skins, 4/7th and now the RDG. The RSDG will get a crack on their own shirt soon enough.
This shirt will be offered in White on an Olive green shirt or Gold on a Burgundy typre colour. I've simply put it up here to see what (if any) feedback I get off you fellas!!! I'm told the official nickname of the RDG is 'The Black Horse'??? Use your imagination on shirt/design colours!!
Front of shirt full chest

Back of shirt
The Battle of Balaklava
25th October 1854
The 4th, 5th and 6TH Dragoon Guards
along with The Scots Greys formed the victorious
Charge of the Heavy Brigade!
Glory to each and to all, and the charge that they made!
Glory to all the three hundred, and all the Brigade!
1922 – 1992 - 4th/7th Royal Dragoon Guards
1927 – 1992 – 5th Inniskilling Dragoon Guards
1992 – Present – The Royal Dragoon Guards
‘The Black Horse’

Re: By request - artwork.
I had a Tiger tank TShirt on site. That has now changed to this

A Gold, Silver and Red embroidered design on a Rugby Shirt reflecting the 'Heavy Tank Unit' as the Tigers were 'attached' as units to other units NOT an integral part of an individual unit as such. Wittmann for example was in Schwerer Panzer Abteilung 101 which was attached to an SS Panzer Division.

Are you serious mate..............on Top Gear?? Perhaps I should do something for Jezza? There may be some mileage in it....excuse the pun. Seriously though I've been approached to do some work for a motor race events company and also for some merchandising for www.tanknutdave.com . My stepdaughter?? Trust me....very ornate and quite clever but.............toooo clever for her own good!!

I'm serious, and I'm quite sure. On the episode where they decide to make art using cars (not the earlier one when they put cars to art critics.)
Have a dig around BBC iPlayer, you might find it there?

Re: By request - artwork.
Okay all
HOT news, I now have my own screen printing machine for shirts which should bring down the price of my T Shirts but, at the same time allow me more scope with the designs. Here is the first design I want to do ready for TankFest AND.................I want to launch it with a competition.

The design is an idea I've taken from a picture of a tankcrew I once saw. I've updated it to be a more 'modern' MBT crew and it will be titled simply 'Tankcrew' but, I want something snappy and with either a really humorous air or, something to reflect the breed of men that crew the beasts or whatever.
My stepson came up with 'Four Nuts - One shell'. I had thought of 'Family Forever' or perhaps 'And on the Seventh Day, God created Tankcrews, and he was pleased', but, what this needs to do is appeal to a very wide audience who have a common interest in tanks and armour whether they served or are serving or never have. So perhaps 'Tankcrew' is also not right? I don't want reference to individual units etc.....it MUST have general appeal that all people understand. I will take the best 4 suggestions in one week's time and then do a one week poll.
The winner will, of course get a free T Shirt of this design for his or her endeavours.
Anyway, thanks very much for your input and please post your ideas and let's see what comes up.

The "And on the seventh day..." appeals! I'm sure that it wouldn't restrict your sales. Can't see the BV though?
