guys,
in the link below at 1:00, a tribute to the light dragoons, it shows a uk soldier with a compact ar15 pattern rifle with acog and red dot set up, can anyone elaborate on his unit - do some of the LD use ar15's??

It's just a chad vid with someones pics and a load of generic Herrick phots. I'd guess the lad you are referring to is a Bde Commanders bodyguard (usually RMP).

He is definitely a Light Dragoon and part of The Jordanian Armed Forces Special Forces Liaison Team. They were issued M4's along with a hybrid mix of US/UK kit and deployed in HUMVEE's. They conducted long range patrols in and around AO's ROBIN and JUNO.
