    Can't remember the poem

It's a WW1 poem, I believe, with the line (something like) 'Is Adam's seed so strong /that these vast numbers gone mean little lost?'

I've tried various permutations on Google but can't come close.

The higher you build your barriers
    The taller I become
The farther you take my rights away
    The faster I will run
    You can deny me
You can decide to turn your face away
    No matter, cos there's....

    Adam seed so strong
I know that I can make it
Tho' you're doing me wrong, so wrong
You thought that my pride was gone
Oh no, Adam seed so strong
Oh oh oh oh oh Adam seed so strong
Its wassname.... Him out of Milly Vanilli... erm....

    Is it Michael Jackson?

THE PARABLE OF THE OLD MAN AND THE YOUNG by WILFRED OWEN

So Abram rose, and clave the wood, and went,
And took the fire with him, and a knife.
And as they sojourned both of them together,
Isaac the first-born spake and said, My Father,
Behold the preparations, fire and iron,
But where the lamb, for this burnt-offering?
Then Abram bound the youth with belts and straps,
And builded parapets and trenches there
And stretched forth the knife to slay his son.
When lo! and Angel called him out of heaven,
Saying, Lay not thy hand upon the lad,
Neither do anything to him, thy son.
Behold! Caught in a thicket by its horns,
A Ram. Offer the Ram of Pride instead.
But the old man would not so, but slew his son,
And half the seed of Europe, one by one.
