    Ringflash

Bought a Ringflash (Canon fit). When I fit the Ringflash to the lens should I remove the UV Filter and screw the flash to the lens or can I leave the filter on and fit the flash to the filter.

I realise this is probably a major Knob question and experienced flashers will be pissing themselves with laughter
Good, bad, I'm the guy with the Gun.

Now all the youth of England are on fire,
And silken dalliance in the wardrobe lies:
Now thrive the Armourers, and honour's thought
Reigns solely in the breast of every man.

It probably won't make much difference but with the flash source so close to the lens then a UV filter, however well coated still gives 2 more internal surfaces for flare and or distortion. Trial and error might be the best bet
