Sorry mate - you have to book way in advance to get the sunshine! Seriously, coming from up there, I went very early in the day to get that shot - an hour later it was persisting down (as usual) ...

...or try a reflector outdoors and a soft light source indoors. Personally I love 'painting with light'.
