Thanks...
I wondered if you could explain what the following are?
PAYE
NI A
Adv Recovery CASH
LSA
MDR
LOA
COE
SUP
Uni Upkeep Grant Arrears
Split Amount
OF MAIN
I think I can guess what half of them are, but would like a voice of authority. If no reply I will get onto JPAC and update this thread for future info (last time I called I was kept waiting for a little while and had to hang up).
I've tried a couple of searches, they're pointed to this thread...
And why on earth does it say
"Wimbledon Championships is contained in"
at the bottom!?
PAYE - Pay As You Earn - TAX
NI A - National Insurance
Adv Recovery CASH - Repayment of Advance of Pay
LSA - Longer Separated Allowance
MDR - Minimum Drawing Rate
LOA - Local Overseas Allowance
COE - Certificate of Efficiency
SUP - Payroll type - (Need to dig a bit for more info on this one)
Uni Upkeep Grant Arrears - Uniform upkeep allowance, either paying monies owed to you from previous months or taking back what you owe from previous months
Split Amount - Used if you have 2 bank accounts to show allotments
OF MAIN - Officer Main Pay Scale
The Wimbledon bit is a cut short statement talking about officiating at Wimbledon - probably points to a DIN
Many thanks for the prompt reply pw - I'm just as confused with office speak as tlas though - could you shed some more light please?
Adv Recovery CASH - camp pay
LSA - Longer Separated Allowance - what is this? Appears under other balances.
MDR - Minimum Drawing Rate - again what is this?
LOA - Local Overseas Allowance - I was abroad recently...
COE - Certificate of Efficiency - matts passed...
SUP - Payroll type - (Need to dig a bit for more info on this one) means?
Uni Upkeep Grant Arrears - Uniform upkeep allowance, either paying monies owed to you from previous months or taking back what you owe from previous months - this was minus 12 so they're subtracting it
Split Amount - Used if you have 2 bank accounts to show allotments - I don't, I guess this appears on all statements.
I am most concerned with LSA - it appears as LSA (Shown in Days) 75.00 on each statement I've received from JPA...
the 75.00 days are the total amount of days you have been paid for, this is to let you know when you are due to move to the next level:
up to and including 300 days level 1
3001 - 600 days - level 2
and so on to level 14 which, currently, is the top level.
MDR is applied if you are repaying debts - you are legally entitled to receive 50% of your pay after deduction of Tax and ins - any voluntary deductions come out of your 50% - not really applicable to TA.
Takes you to the "JPA Pay Statements Explained" page which may be of some use. You will need RLI to access it, if using DII right click on the link then left click on "copy shortcut" then paste this to your browser address bar and hit enter.
