Re: Help needed!
Well done Robsven
I am really pleased you sorted out transport and managed to get yourself there. I did enjoy reading your account and I'm sure those following after you will benefit from reading it.
All the best son

Well done, Lee. That's great news. And an interesting and informative post. Sounds like you enjoyed yourself and have the right attitude to get on well. Best of luck.

Re: Help needed!
At least you had the gumption to ask for advice instead of just not bothering. Best thing to do now is go back to the Careers Office to sort a claim for Motor Mileage Allowance (MMA) out, you will need to take the details of the car with you - you ARE entitled to this so don't let them fob you off.

Re: Help needed!
It's a nice change to have a recruit who knows how to spell, and joining the Corps, too! Good luck at Lichfield. Drop into the Professionally Qualified forum to let us know what you think of Phase 2 when you get there.

Re: Help needed!
I was told to be there no earlier than 9am, and no later that 11:45am. Apparently, some of the fellas I met at the station had been there since well before 11am, so would've been waiting for at least 2 hours in 30'c temperatures. A few jokes went round about how we would interrogate the Corporal as to why he was so late picking us up... but obviously when he did arrive we were all silent.

Re: Help needed!
I'll be doing my Phase 1 and Phase 2 training at Winchester. I'm looking forward to being run ragged in the surrounding hills and countryside!

Re: Help needed!
Mods: IMHO this thread is an excellent example of erm stuff and would make a good sticky. Though there might be a better forum to move it to.
Well done to the OP and all who gave assistance.

That's a top post, anyone requiring info on joining should be directed to it; clear concise and motivational. We got fcuked about stupid 26 years ago.
Good luck for the future
