You sound like a labour scum bag! Always blaming someone else for your own failings and ignoring anything said other then what you have to say. If you were more proactive towards your soldiers you would have their respect and they would not feel the need to get the fablon biff chit. There is a reason for a command stucture you know
By your accounts your the only good bloke in your unit and everyone is fat and lazy and the fat and lazy are getting promoted but not you. I bet your the only bloke marching who is in step as well :D

Toucjed a nerve did I?
Of course its all my fault I force people to eat and drink lots and not do any physical training. This might come as a shock to you but not all soldiers are keen and green and ready to get on with the job, a certain amount are fat bastards who waddle in at 8 and waddle out at 5 having spent the day sat on their arse, Thankfully they have people like you fighting their corner with the excuse its all someone else fault you have a waist line of a sumo wrestler.
I'm sure I stated early that there are good lads but they rapidly become disillusioned with the army having to stag on the gate more than their fair shareor do extra exercises while the fatties stay in the nice warm offices, they also become a bit pissed off when certain people (like you and the big floater for example) defend the fat fucks with such shit excuses as being good at their job (obvously no point in fitness standards anywhere in the Corps so long as you can do your job in a nice warm office, never going on tour or exercise).
Stacker,
just an observation,is this problem unique to our LSR?Where i am a dim view is taken of severely overweight soldiers, maybe it's time for you to move on if you feel your CoC is not supporting your views?
Or maybe you are too vocal with your views/opinions in your workplace and someone does'nt like it?

Its been in every loggie regiment Ive served in, Its not much to ask to be able to bimble a mile and half in 10.30, is it? Its not much to ask that should you get downgraded that keep yourself fit where ever you can, is it? Its not to much to ask that if you do get put on remedials to do some fitness in your own time rather than go sick to avoid the six month warning order is it? Noone has to go and do P company or senior Brecon, just keep up a very easy minimum standard and watch what they stuff down their pie hole.
Why do we have fat people in the army? The army spends millions on gyms, employs gym staff/doctors who can advise and yet their sick chit exempts them from just about everything, still with people like the big floater fighting their corner because they may be good at their job I dont suppose they need to worry.
Stacker,
I see where you are coming from however i find it hard to believe that these so called "fatties" are populating your Regiment in great numbers.
What's your RSM/SSM doing about it? Are these people carring a few extra pounds or are we talking clinically obese with a ratchet strap for a belt?
Sounds like your CoC ain't bothered

Is it extreme risk that is the highest on the BCM thing? Because there are more than a few on that list, There are a couple of blokes built like brick shit houses but then they pass their physical tests.
I'll defend my SSM/RSM and even the CO because they are trying to do something about it, but even with people who are lard arses you have to weigh them then give a chance then weigh them again then give them a chance etc etc, its a slow process especially when they are on the biff. Hopefully MCP might speed this up a bit.
Over one in six people in my regiment are downgraded (not all are fat and some were very fit before their injury) Do you think they (or the majority) are geniune? It was even worst at my previous unit. Its not like the injuries occured scrapping with the taliban.

Liar! Liar pants on fire!
So 20% of your Regiment are biffed with non-operational injuries? WTF? Either your CO has pretensions of turning his unit in to the first RLC (SAS) Regt and is making everyone do the fan dance twice a week, or you are speaking out of your arrse.
To give you an idea: in military terms, a unit is "destroyed" and no longer combat effective when 30% of its manpower has been rendered non-combat able (i.e. killed or seriously wounded). Now ask yourself: has your base recently been subjected to prolonged air and ground assault reinforced with artillery? Nope? Thought not.
Take your head for a wobble and your face for a shite. You have been passed over for promotion because you jack on the people under your command, you think you are a lot better than you really are and finally: because even a morbidly obese slob who needs a mobility scooter to get from the QM's to the NAAFI is a better soldier than you.

Hang on fuck face you said downgraded soldiers cant go on courses earlier shows how much you know eh einstein? Want to backpedal on that statement?
Thats right over 100 squaddies in my unit are P3 or P7 Would you care to place a bet where your fat mouth is? 100 notes to hol4heroes says my regiment has one in 6 on the biff I'll PM a MOD with the details from the loggie forums and they can check.
And while Im telling you what a knob you are, do you have to be dead or seriously wounded to be downgraded? So your comparison off air strikes and ground assault just shows that you are talking out of your fat arse.
I have no doubt that 100 in your Regt are DG'd That is an average figure, I must asume u are a medic and KNOW the reasons for all of them....
No Oh well must be said then that a Regiment with 100+ fat Bast@@ds in it is a new record.......
I am sure that a small percentage 5-10% are non deployable the rest are capable of deploying so a Regimental strength of 591ish you can still deploy around 520 (sorry maths wasn't my strong point)
But hey the 30-50 G1 issues who are fit don't get looked at in your eyes or the Y listed or the AWOL or welfare problems.. (can't go anywhere coz the wife can't cope)..
You sound off that everyone P3 P7 are a waste of space....... This thread has kept momentum either because you are an instigator of drivell and are just keeping it going or your passion for a 100% fit and deployable army makes you blind to the bigger issues...
I have no complaint over the need to reduce the pressure on fit and able individuals and I also agree that there are a fair few wasters who play on the medical system.. And yes I am downgraded but for hearing loss, but do take part in all activities and am not fat.....(well apart from a slight increase in my old age)
But you need to look at all angles, if individuals are pulling a fast one the chain of command will and are discharging them... If you are not FE you cannot complete CLM therefore not promotable... And that is fact not made up...
