To summarise, it's a no!
Don't forget te ACF is all about young people coming out from childhood and making their mark as young adults.
Drop him off by all means, have a quick chat with the Detachment staff if you must, but leave him to make his own way!
If he needs any support the armycadetforce.com forum is not a bad thing for him to join.
It is an independent forum, but, unlike this one, strongly moderated by experienced ACF trained adults, bar the cadet nco forum which is moderated by cadets, though with a moderation oversight by adults.
If he is interested in the ACF there is loads of experience and info at the end of his keyboard, not least from a strong bunch of senior cadets who have run through the training themselves....For the strength of the pack is the wolf, and the strength of the wolf is the pack.

You're not collecting an OBE, you're taking your brother to a youth club.
Fucking act like it you welly.

Go dressed as Frankenfurter and insist on kissing all the cadets on the lips.

Can we surmise by the lack of a response that the OP doesn't like what he's hearing and has resolved to wear the hobby rig regardless?
I assuming that 'training to be an Officer' means he has been issued his kit and is a POC? And that he's actually done basic training?
Dumb-arse question really.
