Any ex-1WFR know the whereabouts of....

    Dear all

It is fast approaching the 30th anniversary of the Falklands War and I have recently got back in touch with some of the lads who served in HQ 5 Inf Bde during the war and am trying to track down one or two others.

I was wondering if any ex-WFR types might know what happened to Capt (later Major) David Baldwyn who was the 5 Bde Intelligence Officer at the time.

I understand that after the war he returned to his regiment (1WFR) and was later promoted to Major. FWIW his nickname was "Diddy David"...

If anyone can point me in his direction please PM me.

    All the best

In the career of glory one gains many things; the gout and medals, a pension and rheumatism....all of these fatigues experienced in your youth, you pay for when you grow old. Because one has suffered in years gone by, it is necessary to suffer more, which does not seem exactly fair.

I regret to inform you that David Baldwyn died in 2001. He left the army in 1987.
