Re: Dapper Clothing etc...
Apologies for the delay but I've just got back from a month's break in the Alps and it looks as if I've brought some snow back with me too. Some research points to the fact that the company is run by a couple of ex-City guys who decided to try something new. The suits are made in Eastern Europe and South-East Asia and are priced accordingly. I don't have any personal experience with them or know anyone who has - but if I find out anymore in the meantime I'll post it up here. As an aside, news reached me last month that Addison & Steele, one of the original City visiting tailors, are no more.

Moring All
Does anyone know of any good suit shops in Glasgow?
TM dont have a sale on and the only other shop I can think of is Slaters.
Thanks in advance.
G82Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go.

Re: Dapper Clothing etc...
I seem to recall earlier in the thread that someone else had a bit of trouble finding decent tailoring/suit shops in Glasgow. Maybe a trip to Edinburgh could be in order?

Re: Dapper Clothing etc...
I am looking for a decent place in the North West to get a few suits and shirts.
I think a fully bespoke suit will be out of my budget but semi-tailored will probably be OK.
Anyone got any recommendations? I assume there will be places in Manchester? But where?!
Cheers

Has anyone tried Raja Daswani suits?
I've only ever read one review, and that was from someone who was upgrading from an M&S suit from the first time and therefore had no idea what a good suit is like. I'm interested to know how they compare to saville row or an adjusted jermyn street suit.

I am in need of a good tailor in Glasgow (or Edinburgh if needs must!). Looking to have a new regimental tweed jacket made. Any personal recommendations?

How far south can you travel? There is a fantastic tailor in Castle Douglas called Livingstones, might be worth looking at if you have the time to travel into South-West Scotland.

From what I've read on here previously, short answer is 'they don't.'

I'd personally venture that if all you're going to be doing is shining your arrse on an office chair then a Daswani suit would make sense (I know, blasphemy etc etc, but we can't all afford 10 suits from Gieves).
However, there are many here who are more knowledgeable than I on this subject so I'll get back in my box now. Some people are like slinkys - seemingly entirely useless, yet still can raise a smile when you push them down a flight of stairs.

Thanks carcass. Any idea about the quality of the cut? I actually find that, being of slim build, aquascutum 36 fits me near perfect off the peg and I'm wondering if Mr Daswani can make the minute improvements that saville row would be capable of.
