Re: Dapper Clothing etc...
Orlando used to work in Bennets in Hammersmith Road, now in Ken Church Street. Good bloke, sold me a couple of good suits, just regret not buying the brand new Lobbs for £35!

I missed the report on the in-between fittings, but now have and have worn the suit in anger - and I looked utterly feckin fantastic. Fantastic quality, superbly cut - everything I could have wished for in a suit. Anyone within driving distance and wanting a top bespoke at non-Savile Row prices, get to Coleman & Son.

Re: Dapper Clothing etc...
I got my (Ladies) Bespoke Suit from Gresham Blake and I am very pleased with it.
They are very nice people to deal with and the workmanship is superb.
The Jacket is an absolute dream to wear and I feel very good in the suit.
That said, they themselves are not happy with the cut of the trousers and have reordered some more fabric to replace the ones I have currently. At no extra cost they are remaking said trousers to a better cut and fit for me.
I can not reccomend them highly enough esp if you are based in the south of England.
When I can work out how to post a picture I'll put one up - for now the web address is Gresham Blake.
My suit cost £1000 less £50 for paying up front but that is because the best beloved decided I looked better in the more expensive cloth. Otherwise it would have been £750.
They also do an "off the peg" tailoring service which may be a good option for those on a tighter budget.

Get them to make a second pair of trousers at the same time.

I am going to try and keep the pair that they are not happy with. By all reasonable standards they are perfectly fine and certainly will be ok for the times when lots off sitting down in said suit is required (graduation ceremony/conferences for example)
I would expect no less, but I was plesently surprised when they said that they were re making the trousers. Just another example of their excellent customer service.

Apart from a total abstinence from the Creature and the wine, which you have written about elsewhere...it is full of calories you know.

Confused? You will be :D
Anyway, nice to see you all.

Guys
That little taylor on Holborn, I believe the building is called Sicilian House, is having an everything must go sale. Cheap Loakes, ties and such, plus some very dodgy suits, sports jackets and the like which will do if you are masquerading as a middle ranking officer in the RLC.
What did I say?
Daddy-pig says "Snoort!"
They used to say if an infinite number of chimps typed we would get the works of Shakespeare, the internet has proved this is NOT the case...
