Re: Boots, Cav T wat / Jodphur Boots / Blundies
Cheers Flash! Good idea. Quick question for those mail ordering from Australia, do you get taxed on goods coming in the post? In the past some got taxed for silly ammounts and its a nause as the invoice for the tax came weeks afterwards, by which time i was away for a few months.. no dramas on paying tax, just inconvenient to get invoices long afterwards... but is it all different now the Customs and Excersize is now the Customs and Revenue or some what not

had my blundstones for 10 years and still going strong, although i wear them as a working boot / trekking boot, as per the intended use not noncing around the mess.
Never let me down and bombproof, they get better with ageGnarly and Proud

I bought my RM Williams boots, and an oilskin, from Boots Online (as recommended by Flashy)- excellent service. The guy that runs it tries to minimise the possibility of Customs charges, to the extent that he changed courier because the original one seemed to be getting hit every time. I've now had three parcels from them, and no customs charges at all. On the other hand, every parcel I've received from a photographic supplier in Canada has cost me.

Yes, there is a big difference in quality and therefore price.

Blundstones make a good boot but generally speaking they are a through-a-way item in comparison to RM Williams.
RM Williams offers a larger design range of boot plus several choices of width sizes ie broad fittings.

I can't comment on tax on this order as I'm not in UK. From ordering previously from the states while in the UK, I seem to remember getting away with it most times and getting a bill others, although I can't remember the mechanism. Most ebay stuff advertised as tax free from abroad is sent as a 'present'.
Sizing is obviously an issue if you don't have a pair or can't find a pair to try on.

Recommend all to www.raja-fashions.com Just ordered my 5th suit from them and my 12th or so shirt. You need to bargain like mad but the quality is excellent.
