Afraid that I cannot be any help here, as I am not familiar with them. I only know of them and that they have attended training with E (London) Sqn of which I am not a member.
Two questions if you please chaps. If I join the Legion of Frontiersmen do I get a Davy Crockett hat? Secondly, what action did your organisation take against esteemed L.O.F member Robin Weatherall when he was busted for masquerading as a Lieutenant General, falsely claiming service with British, Australian and U.S armies, the S.A.S (of course) and wearing decorations to which he was not entitled, for which he had forged citations. The story can be seen at the anzmi website, under cases, or just google "Robin Weatherall".
A good question, well presented and one which I will be pleased to answer.
First, I must make it abundantly clear that this man Weatherall is not, and never was, a member of the legitimate Legion of Frontiersmen, Countess Mountbatten's Own, but was a member of a group operating in the United States, unconnected with us.
Secondly, he was quickly identified as a fraud and his superiors were alerted to this. His documentation and so-called citation were asked for and submitted at which time they were found to be so badly produced as to be laughable. He was then discharged, but not before a whole lot of damage had been done internationally. Sadly, this rubs off on all of us by association, even though we do not recognise the group to which he belonged.
With regard to the Davy Crockett hat, the QM is fresh out of them, but you can always buy your own, although it would look just as daft in our ceremonials as it would in yours
I have spoken to the Intergallactic Lord High Grand Poo-Bah of all Frontiersmen and he has agreed that you can have a special dispensation to wear a Davy Crockett hat, but only if you bring your own Kentucky Rifle with you and enough men to defend a Mexican chapel for a few days. He says it should be a doddle with loads of sun and sand and some chap called Houston will do an ammo replen in about a fortnight
San Jacinto, about 18 minutes wasn't it? Santa Anna reputedly spared only because Houston recognized him as a fellow Mason.
B@stards get all the good jobs!
When you consider the odds, it is not really surprising. Fifteen hundred battle-hardened Mexican troops against a rag-bag army of 700 Frontiersmen.......the Troops didnt stand a chance. :D
