Re: Legion Of Frontiersmen?
Not the Frontiersmen....just another silliness of the IOC, who automatically place members in these Orders as part of their membership to artificially boost thier numbers.

From the Frontierspersons website:I very much regret that I am unable to answer about the CG giving any thought to the Role of the LoF as I do not know what his specific thoughts are, only his statements on numbers. With a new CG Elect, I feel we will have a positive shift in direction. As for recruiting from ARRSE, I have tried it on other military sites such as MoD Reunited with the same results as we obtained on ARRSE. Negative, critical and offensive.[/quote]
Reiterating an earlier statement I made here. Most of the British NCO's attitude hasn't changed in over 100 years. They're Knuckle Dragging, overbearing, sexist, belligerent Neanderthals. The LoF would be better off, recruiting former members of the Scouting organization.
Cheers

The above post is slightly misleading, (not Gunner's fault) as the first part was written by a Frontiersman and the second part which commences "Reiterating an earlier statement" is a response which was written by a visitor or guest to the site. So, who is Paul?

Re: Legion Of Frontiersmen?
Right:
Who is Paul ?
Well let me answer that.
He's a former member of a Canadian Guards Regiment, a former volunteer medic with St.John Ambulance. He's been cited once for lifesaving and once for actively subduing an armed B&E suspect.
He's rubbed shoulder's with a member of the "Regiment" and corresponded with a famous Navy Seal. He has also survived at least one murder attempt, the hard way. He's no one to be trifled with, has a deep sense of personal honour and is more likely to finish a fight than start one.
He calls it as he see it, doesn't pull any punches, is solid and keeps his word. He's quiet most times, especially when drinking, so if he says someone's an A-hole, he's more than likely right.
And that folk's is as much info as you're going to get,on who Paul is.

Re: Legion Of Frontiersmen?
Interesting. He sounds just like a Frontiersman that I already know....also called Paul....(apart from the Canadian bit) and if he is not, then he would be most welcome

Re: Legion Of Frontiersmen?
The Paul I know in the Frontiersmen has served under several cap-badges, is a St John qualified first aider, has been active in many war-zones and has survived two murder attempts, on one occasion leaving two assailants in the position they expected to put him while a third ran away. He has a huge sense of personal honour and has finished more fights than I care to remember. Having seen him in action, I would not want to be on the receiving end. So, there are similarities, but also some differences. It must be in the name.
