Jim30 makes a very good point . So one foot back on the ground, this is something we can all get behind.
Ranting and time wasting petitions to No.10 are not going to make a jot of difference.
But questions asked during PMQT will have an effect , as will letters to your MP's.
Don't waste time screaming and using purple language here to express your disgust and disquiet.
Put pen to paper and get an answer from your MP. It worked when we turned our attention on Selly Oak, it can work here.
Once again , as per the SO thread, if you send a letter , fax or e-mail can you let us know , ditto with replies.
MP and Peer lurkers looking in, you have a head start on this. Please turn your attention to this as a matter or urgency?
Going back to edit out the purple prose Gents, lets show as much dignity as this old and revered warrior.
PTP
Added much purple prose on here as I whacked out the letter to my MP - much as I did about the Nimrod funeral (shamefully his name escapes me currently) - where I had a reply from the office of Des Browne.
Ranting on here doesn't achieve any changes, but it makes us feel marginally better and we'll probably write more coherent and less abusive letters to our MPs
edited to add: thanks to ptp also, my last post reads marginally better with the reduction in words that would make my mother faint - must learn in future...
How on earth can some civil servant have the gall to tell a man who is a REAL life hero that he has no real links to the UK. How does this ar#e think that he got the freedom to tell this hero that he can't come to the UK in the first place. It makes my blood boil when things like this come to light.
Hope you don't mind Dozybint, I've just plagiarised your letter (It's called best practice now), and will post it off to Michael Howard in the morning.
Posted my MP this tale of calumany & treachery. Maybe if more do it...it might get the badgers moving in the right direction. One month's pension -£132.00 to the old boy - if anyone can tell me where to send it??
