Those two look like some of the tw@t members of "gaming soc" from my university. Every Sunday afternoon they would hit each other with foam swords outside our windows, with frequent pauses to re-evaluate the game and decide who had died. Spells were cast, dragons were slain, and so on and so forth. Then they would adjourn to the bar, in the BCH and full length leather jackets, to discuss power points and the merits of two handed styrofoam blades over papier mache clubs.

I've got a mate who is a medieval re-enactor, he offered to bring his swords and kit round for me to see, so I agreed ( he was a normal well balanced lad at school ) anyway he turned up with a samuria sword and a broadsword in the boot of his car , there were more but I was too worried for the kids safety, anyway, I assumed all the armour etc would be fake . Until I put on the chain mail haldebard and funny hat that was. The broadsword weighed an ffing ton and the samuri sword still has traces of my elbow skin on it. I nearly shit myself . Turns out he and his gang do shows at old castles and theroyal armouries etc.

He was quiet keen on me joining his happy throng but I think he got pissed off when I said okay but as long as I can be Aragorn

Some of them have at least made a bit of effort. The lad in the middle looks like he's just wandered out of the NUS bar. My historical knowledge might be lacking but I don't remember the Celts and the Picts wearing jeans.

If they really want to take the realism to the fore, then why not get them manifested onto a Bde jump. Get him in the door as No. 1, 800Ft, full loads etc and boot him out of the para door. The hilarity factor as his 'drill 'main malfunctions closely followed by his 'drill' reserve will be second to non. A DZ full of walt spectators witnessing the ensuing man sized crater would be a fitting end - the sad, sad basta*ds!
