I think the answer is that the individual is likely for real.
RAF Regiment are a very good example of what could be termed "No walt Walts", i.e serving military with a different internal view on what they think they do than what the rest of the armed forces think they do.

They do have elements within the RAF Regiment that deploy with SFSG and others that have to do P Company.
Gallantry medals have been won by TACP members in Afghan.
There are however a vast number of threads on this subject elsewhere.

for a balanced answer, may i suggest you ask about on e-goat
The major didn't think of his superiors as fools, of course,
since it would follow that everyone who obeyed them was a
fool. He used the term 'unwise', and felt worried when he used
    it.

Nevertheless, you do find some re-enactors that aren't complete Walts.

If anyone went to that big Bovington weekend event in June there was a German medical post staffed by a nice middle aged chap, dressed as a Hauptfeldwebel, (equivalent to a CSM or C/Sgt i think) who actually knew a f'king ton about medical procedures used by the Germans in World War II. Some of his medical equipment was loaned to him by the Imperial War Museum.

Sadly for every good egg there are four bad ones. Four WWII SAS 're-enactors' dressed in Gucci kit, (CS95s + Battledress anyone?), who knew about as much as World War II as Gordon Brown knows about running a country. :P

If I can be of any assistance, please get in touch. If I can`t help, then I will point you in the direction of people who certainly can.
Same here, if you want a host of questions to ask him fire away, all that's needed are a few basic details such as when does he claim to have served and what Squadron(s) had he been on?

The name would be good too via PM of course..
The Major said "Milligan, how long have you been in this man's Army?" I said "About 5 foot 11 inches"

how about this lot ?? Are they walts, re-enactors or the dutch army or US Army commemorating something WW2 ??

Serious kit, loads of WW2 armored vehicles all marked up with unit tactical codes, police escort, hand signals from vehicle to vehicle, full auto weaponry, they have WW2 vets with them plus loads of totty hanging around and they mainly all seem to be young and slim and know how to wear uniform, some of them, look bored to tears as well !!

Could walts or re-enactors actually get all this kit into one location and use it ??

if this actually is walting, it's the super elite cutting edge of walting and I rather fancy a go at it myself !!

Re: Search for a "Walt" Star!!!

Im dying for someone to drop a b*llock with a 'walt' so we can have a newsclipping about some fat harry getting malletted at a wedding for fronting up a 'walt'..

Theres a farm about a 'k' from me, the bloke running it was ex SAS for donkeys years and he isnt a day over 45, looks like Jack Sugden in a curly wig and has 2 of the most well walked Labradors Ive ever seen, couple of times in the Cricket Club he has had the p*ss ripped for being an ex Ordance type and he was questioned quite fiercely by some fat c*nt over what certain pubs on the Falls were called as if to somehow quantify his service ?!

Flipside of the coin theres an ex SB lad about my age who teaches outdoors type stuff for kids up here at a well known company, and he'll tell any c*nt that will listen what he used to do, it has a rebound effect though, a couple of people commented on the probability of it being bullsh*t but I remember him years ago strutting round with the boys at a shockingly young age..

    Takes all sorts.

Good for a laugh - already been 'outed' in Australia. How did he possibly think he could get away with that lot?

That is sooo sad. The poor man doesn't have Google.
Thanks to all who read my little contributions and don't shout nasty words at me, it means so much and I like the likes. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank my parents for their tremendous support throughout my career and without whom I would not be standing here today. Also my agent, she's been my rock.

Do be careful though as Hector and his clique may descend upon you with their stock in trade proclamations of your inherent inferiority. And as it's the internet, they get off on it.

I've gone through every post on every page of this thread - not in one sitting because you'd die laughing . It's interesting to see how many of the sites have disappeared over the last couple of years but there's still one legendary site still on the go featuring the airsoft muppets
