It's not uncommon. There was a mob living wild in the Peak district, there's another on the Chilterns around Dunstable (escapees from Whipsnade zoo), and more reported in Wiltshire (around Keynsham), Devon and Cornwall. What your average soldier wants -- really, really wants -- is no-one shooting back at him. After the storms here in 1987 a group of Skippys mates escaped from an enclosure in a Nat Trust gardens onto one of our farms... they lived happily for several years before they were all rounded up... that is all except the one that got knocked down and killed on a local road . Would love to have seen the insurance claim form ... and the disbelieving looks of all involved when he told them the considerable damage to the car was caused by hitting a small kangaroo ..
