Never have been bothered about people like that, if they want to use brylcream then tats up to them, gimme drillers port and olive oil every time. Mr Ford also revealed that 14 cells were currently unavailable for use by male prisoners in Maghaberry as a result of Price being the sole occupant of Glen House.

I guess the real question now is how to treat the bastards. I see one of two options

1) Treat them like terrorists (which they richly deserve) and give them a summary military tribunal and then give them the maximum sentence allowed under UK statute (can one still be hanged for treason in the UK?)

2) Use the kid gloves and treat them like any normal defendant charged with capital murder under your criminal courts and give them the maximum penalty under the criminal code (life without parole?)

The real conundrum here is how one goes about countering such a relatively low grade terrorist group like the Real IRA, I don't believe they enjoy anywhere near the level of popular support amongst NI Catholics that the Provos did back in the 1970's and 80's. The rub is developing a strategy that further marginalizes the RIRA without making martyrs of them.

Not a job anybody would relish...
