I am 95% convinced that had we not opened the flood gates and let all these folk in then 2 generations later we wouldnt be having this problem.

Stab victim was England captain

Oliver King-Onzila died in hospital after being stabbed outside the E Bar
A teenager stabbed to death outside a bar in south London was a promising footballer who had recently captained an England team.

Oliver King-Onzila, 19, died after being found with stab wound outside the E Bar in Croydon on Saturday. Two men, both aged 18, have been arrested.

The victim had captained Barnet's youth team and skippered the England Colleges FA team in a game against Italy.

Barnet manager Paul Fairclough described Oliver as "a gentle giant".

He had come up through the ranks at Underhill and his colleagues were informed of the killing before their League Two match with Morcambe on Saturday.

The club's spokesman Dennis Signy said of the midfielder: "We were shocked to hear the news.

"Oliver was a young lad hoping to make his way in the game who had already played for the Bees."

He was in the wrong place at the wrong time

Flowers have been left by friends outside the E Bar in South End Road, which has been cordoned off while officers search the area.

One youth, who did not want to be named, said he had been with Oliver before the stabbing took place.

He said: "There was no reason for what happened last night. He was in the wrong place at the wrong time. It was unprovoked."

Det Ch Insp Damian Allain, who is leading the investigation, said: "We now know there was a fracas outside the E Bar involving three people one of whom is the deceased and we need to hear from anyone that saw that incident."

Oliver was taken to hospital following the stabbing at 0100 BST on Saturday, but was pronounced dead shortly afterwards.

A post-mortem examination will take place later.

The two 18-year-olds arrested in connection with Oliver's death are being held at a south London police station.

One of them required treatment for injuries to his hands, a Metropolitan Police spokeswoman said.

I live very close to the E-bar. It is a nasty overcrowded noisy place full of mindless chavs and shaven headed thugs. It largely serves up wifebeater, and vodka red bull. A recipe for violence certainly!

Oliver was in the right place if he wanted to get stabbed or beaten up. Only a few doors south, in a newly opened kebab shop there was another stabbing a few months ago.

This never used to happen in South Croydon, but now it happens all over the town because Croydon's 'Dibble' are utterly useless and get beaten up by schoolgirls in broad daylight on the rare occasions they step out from the nick. And their Guv'nor Supt Mark Gore makes Springfield's Chief Clancy Wiggum look like Robocop!

Police guard on mobile phone theft victim, 12

A GIRL of 12, who was stabbed twice for refusing to give up her mobile phone, was recovering in hospital under police guard yesterday.

Her lung was punctured in the attack by three young muggers, which happened at a bus stop in front of her seven-year-old sister and a cousin, aged 10.

Two policemen were guarding the girl's hospital room at the weekend after her family said they were terrified of reprisals. Detectives took a detailed statement from her yesterday.

Yesterday police said the 12-year-old girl was playing a game on the phone as she waited for a bus in Croydon, south London, when she was approached by three teenagers. One of them, whose face was masked by a scarf, pulled out a knife and stabbed her in the back and left leg.

As she lay on the pavement bleeding heavily, the teenagers took her phone and ran off.

Insp Ian Pickett, of Croydon police, said: "The girl has been left very distressed by what happened to her on Thursday. Not only was she left with physical injuries but also she suffered an appalling emotional trauma

"She is lucky to be alive, bearing in mind that one of the wounds punctured her lung. The girl's family are distraught. They can't believe this has happened to a girl of only 12 years old.

"What really makes it even harder for them to understand is that she was with her seven-year-old sister and 10-year-old cousin who saw it all. They have also both been left traumatised.".

A spokesman for the Mayday Hospital, Croydon, where the girl has been treated, said: "Her condition has greatly improved and so the doctors are likely to allow her to be discharged.

Insp Pickett has obviously done the Mets 'State-the-bleeding-obvious-and-get-a-sound-bite' course. So Inspector, nothing to say on what your going to do to catch the vermin that did this? W@nker!
