Yes.

First worn on my graduation parade in 1965, worn on my last day of Service, and then worn at Bisley [occasionally] for another 10 years.
I was first told to stop wearing it in about 1970, and later by a 4-star in the late 80s.
WTF, I love that hat

I have a spare black one as it happens.

Re: Slingsby takes off again
I also have a spare black one. It looks ever so lovely with a fouled anchor on it too!
I could probably do some alterations to the berets for Horsa and Hotspur. I'd need their head measurements and a couple of berets.

Re: Slingsby takes off again
Horsa's head is 14 inches diameter if measured below the ears. Hotspur is on his way to MDN for 'pre-op preparations. I'm sure MDN has a retractable tape measure amongst his wide range of equipment!
And this you can see is the bolt. The purpose of this
Is to open the breech, as you see. We can slide it
Rapidly backwards and forwards: we call this
Easing the spring. And rapidly backwards and forwards
The early bees are assaulting and fumbling the flowers:
They call it easing the Spring.
They call it easing the Spring: it is perfectly easy
If you have any strength in your thumb: like the bolt,
And the breech, and the cocking-piece, and the point of balance,
Which in our case we have not got; and the almond-blossom
Silent in all of the gardens and the bees going backwards and forwards,
For today we have naming of parts.

1. Horsa's beret is certainly a nightmare. A major project for 2009, I think!

Oh no! Have you seen the amount of honey that bear consumes?
