Re: Arrse member in trouble (Help needed)
So has MDN been able to work out how much we raised, and are there sitreps on the various cases and the DIY jobs?
(Just a bump, really ....)And this you can see is the bolt. The purpose of this
Is to open the breech, as you see. We can slide it
Rapidly backwards and forwards: we call this
Easing the spring. And rapidly backwards and forwards
The early bees are assaulting and fumbling the flowers:
They call it easing the Spring.
They call it easing the Spring: it is perfectly easy
If you have any strength in your thumb: like the bolt,
And the breech, and the cocking-piece, and the point of balance,
Which in our case we have not got; and the almond-blossom
Silent in all of the gardens and the bees going backwards and forwards,
For today we have naming of parts.

Re: Arrse member in trouble (Help needed)
Didn't drink enough this new year so £50 via paypal
Given to the House of Commons 20 April 1653
It is high time for me to put an end to your sitting in this place, which you have dishonored by your contempt of all virtue, and defiled by your practice of every vice; ye are a factious crew, and enemies to all good government; ye are a pack of mercenary wretches, and would like Esau sell your country for a mess of pottage, and like Judas betray your God for a few pieces of money.
Is there a single virtue now remaining amongst you?
Is there one vice you do not possess? Ye have no more religion than my horse; gold is your God; which of you have not barter’d your conscience for bribes?
Is there a man amongst you that has the least care for the good of the Commonwealth?
Ye sordid prostitutes have you not defil’d this sacred place, and turn’d the Lord’s temple into a den of thieves, by your immoral principles and wicked practices? Ye are grown intolerably odious to the whole nation; you were deputed here by the people to get grievances redress’d, are yourselves gone!
So! Take away that shining bauble there, and lock up the doors. In the name of God, go!

Re: Arrse member in trouble (Help needed)
We've just tipped 9K
There are a couple of cases in that are still being discussed and a cry out for a plumber etc will probably go out later on.
I'm not around much over the next couple of days, but that doesn't mean things have gone quiet. Am expecting a definitive answer on Sellyoak later today or perhaps tomorrow then we can get cracking there.
Thanks to all so far, time to take the sprint off the blocks to a steady jog.<a href="http://www.mybannermaker.com" target="_blank"><img src="http://i.imgur.com/O7o54.png" alt='Create your own banner at mybannermaker.com!' border=0 /></a><br>

Fabulous. Well done MDN and arrse. Quite warms the heart of this hardened cynic.

Oi!!
B_F!!!
Remember the offer....... It still stands.
There would be enough members on here that live in London who would be willing to meet up and take him off your hands for an evening to let you have a girly time and unwind. No Duff!
Let me know and I will organise it, at a bootie friendly military pub."Be an example to your men, in your duty and in private life. Never spare yourself, and let the troops see that you don't in your endurance of fatigue and privation. Always be tactful and well-mannered and teach your subordinates to do the same. Avoid excessive sharpness or harshness of voice, which usually indicates the man who has shortcomings of his own to hide."

Re: Arrse member in trouble (Help needed)
A quick update on the RCDM project...
We are sponsoring a room which is used to accommodate relatives of military patients at Selly Oak. We will be providing everything - new carpet and curtains, redecoration, and all the furniture. We are working with the welfare staff at the hospital to make sure that the work can be done in a way that minimises the time it's unavailable to families.
We're waiting now for the RCDM to return to normal working after the grant, so we can progress. If anyone thinks things aren't moving fast enough, please remember that we're dealing with a very busy part of the hospital; the immediate needs of the military patients and their families are the priority.
I'll do another update when there's some news.

Thanks for the update VB. I'm sure that everyone appreciates that these things happen at their own pace.
