On way to local HSBC to make a £10 drop off MDN. I think i nust be allergic to something in the office, as eyes are beginning to water. Makes you proud to know what us bill oddies serving and retired can do in the name of a good cause. Any extra funds could be used for a first class ticket to London on Virgins finest, and money for a good brief so that we can send the gent off to Number 10 to kick Gordy's cnut in!!

Getting the iPods engraved would be a nice idea
Is there any reason why this couldn't become an annual thing (the collection not the homelessness)?
I've only just come across this thread and feel guilty for missing the boat.

However. .......... I will be happy to do any engraving for the princely sum of £ Fcuk all!! ( High street engraving will cost a packet otherwise )

Well said Legs, couldn't agree more. :D

Could do but I don't see that it would achieve anything and it's the last thing I'd want if I were this guy.

Keep it anonymous - I don't need to know who he is, he's one of us that's enough for me. It could easily be any of us in this situation, if it were the other way around, I know this fella would do the same for me.
I agree, We don't need to know.
I am astonished at how quickly money was raised and we should all be proud especially MDN.

How about paying for this chaps Broadband for his new house, Would hate to see him deprived of arrse

Engraved Ipods would be good. How about getting a coupla Zippos or something, engraved with Arrse. If MDN and Adam KOS aint to busy. Just a thought.

    Maybe later on then

    Outstanding effort all round.

Missed this as I was away at the weekend. Well done ARRSE, particularly MDN. And it's made me finally setup a paypal account, donation sent.

    Sitrep to follow

The very real reality is that this chap and his family will now not be facing homelessness at Christmas.

I'd like to think that with a couple more days, and some more exposure his flights to Spain (to Spanish Daves kind donation of a holiday appartment) can be paid for and maybe some Chrimbo pressies to his three young children.

I've spent a fair bit of time whining that you lot are a pack of cnuts...... guess its time to eat humble pie and thankyou, sincerely....... But I'm not going to :D

    Keep coughing up cnuts! :D
mdn check pm.£10 from me as l'm off sick at the mn & l might be able to wangle something re flights as l know someone who works for a airline.
