Well imagine my surprise when I recieved this e-mail today.
Apparently some decent chap has popped his clogs and has decided to leave me with a shed load of money. Yay me :D.

Here is the e-mail in full:

returned undelivered. I hereby attempt to reach you again by this same email address stated on the WILL. I wish to notify you that late Engr. David Peet made you a beneficiary to his WILL. He left the sum of Seven Million One Hundred Thousand Dollars (USD$7, 100.000.00 ) to you in the codicil and last testament to his WILL.



Late Engr. David Peet died on the 13th day of February,2006 at the age of 70 years, and his WILL is now ready for execution.According to him this money is to support your humanitarian activities and to help the poor and the needy in our society. Please if I reach you this time as I am hopeful, endeavor to get back to me as soon as possible to enable me conclude my job.

Now despite my happiness I cant be but a bit weary.
First of all Ive never heard of this chap.
Also why would an English bloke leave his money to me in USD?
Lastly, although Im an allround nice chap, humanitarian work does'nt really appeal to me.
So, what should I do ARRSER's?

This cant possibly be a scam, the e-mail seems so genuine :D

They didnt reply to my e-mail voicing my concerns.

And such eloquent English syntax and grammar from a well edjumacated barrister. (You can tell he's a real barrister from his email address)

well,bugger me! Who'd have thought it? Fancy a barrister resorting to fraud,like they don't earn enough already!

Every other week I get people I've never head of leaving me millions of dollars [always dollars] in their wills.

I guess I must be a very nice and popular bloke.

However, as the money in dollars is only worth half that in quids, I keep deciding not to bother to answer. I mean, what use can £3,650,00 be?
