May I enquire as to what it was you were looking for when you 'stumbled' across that picture?

I was actually looking for the library in Chesterfield, for a certain book-signing. I have now reached a state of sadness whereby I look around me to see what I can take a picture of to post on this site! It was intended for the "Self-Taken Photo" thread, but this opportunity was too good!

Quite why the Puffins in Chesterfield are cross about being humped is beyond me, unless there is a flock of penguins there!

They might as well be Japanese.

We need people who look to the stars, holding the nation and the world in their hearts but at the same time we need down-to-earth people who can do serious and trying work.

In a definite sense, a country's power and prestige isn't only a reflection of its economic power but also a reflection of its people's quality and morality. Moreover, I think the latter is actually more important in the long-term.

Perhaps the good Burghers of Chesterfield are ornothologically confused and actually meant to put up a sign for a pelican crossing.

And in one of the most famous war quotes in a film of all time..............

Shrimp is the fruit of the sea. You can barbecue it, boil it, broil it, bake it, sautee it. There's, um, shrimp kebabs, shrimp creole, shrimp gumbo, pan fried, deep fried, stir fried. There's pineapple shrimp and lemon shrimp, coconut shrimp, pepper shrimp, shrimp soup, shrimp stew, shrimp salad, shrimp and potatoes, shrimp burger, shrimp sandwich... That's, that's about it............

If you'd like to red what Levick actually wrote about penguins, his book on the subject is available on-line, either to read on line or download in a variety of formats.
