    The trouble with singers is, unlike violins, their voices deteriorate with age. Listening to Roger Waters do 'Comfortably numb' at live 8 was painful. Likewise Macca and Elton, pack it in and live off the royalties.

    As for Bob Dylan, brilliant songs, not one of which hasn't been covered by a different band to better effect, from The Byrds, through Manfred Mann, to Springsteen. But as Stoop Solo (aka Neil Innes) once said on RWT,
