In my 50's and thus a grumpy old man. Just so long as you realise that I'm right and you're wrong, we'll get along just fine, OK?

Given your relative youth in ARRSE-years, I will let that slide. The correctness of my spelling has already been the subject of much commentary years ago and the consensus (quite vocal from those ARRSERs who regarded my including both spellings to be pejorative) was I should just spell it the correct way and not accommodate Britons in their eccentricities of grammar and spelling.

From that moment on, the majority (who vote) will vote for those candidates promising the greatest benefits from the public purse, with the result that a democracy will always collapse from loose fiscal policies, always followed by a dictatorship." Sir, can I ask, as your devoted Batwoman/nursey/brothel keeper thingy that I have an assistant? Or a pay rise?

Sorry, Mon General … we have an over-promoted Civvy Nig who is clearly not bi-lingual.
Should I dock his pay? Refer him to the CSM for language training? Or ask if he wants fries with that? Or ketchup?
Civvy_Scum - be very afraid. You crossed the line there, big time. There are many VERY senior officers in the Legion who can spell both ways.
