My dear sir, we in the Legion aim much higher than that--the pension will the equal to that afforded US postal workers or Congressmen, medical care via Him (if He is not reelected we will just get Blue Cross/Blue Shield), car taken care of above in earlier post and the Snail will be providing all secretaries so you will need to take up hair color and other grooming issues with her.
"A democracy cannot survive as a permanent form of government. It can last only until its citizens discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority (who vote) will vote for those candidates promising the greatest benefits from the public purse, with the result that a democracy will always collapse from loose fiscal policies, always followed by a dictatorship." Lord Thomas MacCauley 1857

Can we have a Regimental mascot like the Royal Welch and Spanish Foreign Legion (Spit!)?
May I be so bold as to suggest an Aardvark. It would have no trouble keeping up with our slow time Regimantal march.
If we can, i volunteer to be Mascot Trainer/wrangler.Last edited by Pitswamper; 23-05-2012 at 02:58.

MCpl FV (Canadian) at your service. My blade, and my liege, are yours. Will we have a Regimental Affiliation with the Glorious 10th?

My only concern is the Aardvark's noble appearance may take away from our own, erm.....shall we say less noble personages---I mean after all, this is the Legion and we take all the flotsam and jetsam of the other nation's militarized as long as they have the proper martial spirit.
Whatever our mascot turns out to be, you shall be the head wrangler.Last edited by jumpinjarhead; 23-05-2012 at 03:10.
