    Marvelous!!

I'm off to melt a razor into my toothbrush handle for those all important "personal admin interviews."

I would imagine so. We'll reserve the single shot Derringers for presidents.

And the Webley .455 for officers. Also one for use in the mess for those disgracing the Legion (very hard to do )

I do thing that a kazoo band would have added richness and timbre with the addition of bodhráin, lots of them. The only issue is whether this combination would violate the Geneva Protocols as being too cruel to those within hearing.

Any military unit can use a marching song. Might I suggest the classic "Roll me over in the Clover"

edited to add: My reason for suggesting the bodhrán is that it can be played by people with no musical talent. In my experience it often is.
I heartily recommend this as a model for the band:

Happy to stand in ranks and look sleepy - but would like to volunteer as the Unit Press Officer ....I suspect this outfit will require all the PR schmoozing to keep OUT of the papers it can get....

When is the first transport to Sidi-Bel-Abbes leaving ?

Ok, ok.....I'll sign up.....BUT....can I dodge out of morning and evening formations, on the excuse of working on supply discrepancies?(especially since we don't really have supplies) And I want a beanie propeller on my K-pot.

If the Legion Etranger Cul mirrors it's French counterpart it will be rough Algerian pinard by the litre - and like it!

There will be no sliced white bread - fresh baguettes daily, produced by our very own Boulanger Artisinale ( Legionnaire 2ieme Classe Nico Karsozy - I believe he is of Hungarian origin but brought up in France so knows his way around a beignet)

By the way - the UK Subs are playing Southsea in June, along with The Damned and the Rezillos .... Home - Punk By The Sea

Ahem, Mon Commandant Permission to speak?
    - As a way of boosting recruitment , perhaps the Legion should offer to provide the security detail....?
