On another note someone has recently told me that SPQR tattoos as once sported by the legions of Rome have now been taken as a tattoo for those who are 'good with colours'? What's that all about, and if true one of my muckers is gonna be p*ssed!

Are you sure? Wikipedia reckons he was a failing musician and children's entertainer before he got into porn.

A close shave mate. Walking into shady shops frequented by tattooed men in Brighton looking for some permanent 'O' can lead to some very unexpected surprises

Knew a hippy traveller type with one , he said it improved his odd`s on getting the right group should he need it as he spent time roughing it around SE Asia , S America etc , plenty of incompetent medics there.

Got mine done in 85, A POS, upper right arm. MOD 90 and dog tags stated A POS throughout my service. On leaving, FMED 4 revealed I was actually A NEG. Luckily for me I never needed a transfusion.

The same could be said for trusting the Army to get their facts straight.

Well, as stated, luckily I never needed blood as I would have been somewhat dead.
