That's what I like to read - people actually pining, nay yearning, for the ramblings of some old guy in Portugal with the gift of the gab - keep it up, we'll sell more copies that way!

I remember laughing so much I was crying while reading the original thread. Which is why I am very eager to get my hands on the 'finished product' and don't mind paying £30 for the privilege.

What finer endorsement could you ask for?

Indeed no finer recommendation - and I have read it a dozen times and still laugh just as much as the first time! Immortal stories told in mortal prose.

David, just ordered through your website and emailed you again. Hopefully I have done it all right!
The harder the fighting and the longer the war, the more the infantry and in fact all the arms, lean on the Gunners - Field Marshal Montgomery.

For those of you who pre-ordered but have not yet ordered the book through our web site: if you do not order through the web site you won't get the book - the pre-orders don't give us the information we need to charge for and deliver your copy - so please don't forget to put a formal order in - and email us with dedication if this is pre-booked too! The dedication list is now closed, although you will be able to get a dedication in your copy if you come to the book signing at Chesterfield Public Library on 9 June at or after 1 p.m.
Thumb out of bum and brain out of neutral folks.
