ARRSE has had at least one tranny since Dec 2005 (and perhaps even earlier) but she has a brilliant sense of humour and comments such as those lobbed about on this thread at least appear to be water off a duck's back to her. AFAIK, she wasn't SF pre-op, but I could be wrong seeing as she wouldn't talk about it if she had been!

As to the truckers portrayed, I have seen worse, much worse, driving 18 wheelers. Before I retired; at regular intervals I dealt with the drivers who drove for a company with a contract with Uncle Sam to transport certain ..erm... materials that required an extremely high degree of security during transport. The drivers were usually husband-wife teams. The men usually looked like Bigfoot but a bit hairier. The wife looked the same but usually without the beard.

I never made comments as I usually try not to annoy people with loaded sidearms or their armed husbands. Note: despite the appearance I have great confidence in the ability of these drivers to complete their trips safely and securely.

We delivered a sensitive cargo to the Septics.The convoy that arrived to collect it looked like every "red-neck" that Central Casting could muster.Scruffy unshaven mob All stetsons, denims, western, boots, plaid shirts, jade jewellery, pump action shotguns,some sawn off, pistols strapped to most limbs.Some of them were ladies.
Turned out that they all had clearance that would have got them into the Oval Office if so required.

Those are the people I used to deal with!! You forgot the huge belt buckles though. And most of the jewelry i saw was turqoise, not jade.

And despite appearances bright and capable of doing great trip planning for a secure trip. Able to run some interesting comm equipment too.

It's most likely either people who aren't trannies who just want to troll the site, or it's trannies who just want to troll the site. Either way I doubt many of the ones that turn up and try and cause outrage by doing nothing other than post inflammatory remarks actually have any connection the the Armed Forces.
