An older relative of mine worked in Airport Security in Canada after he retired and was on pretty good terms with the RCMP Close Protection. The Mouth* flew over to preach and was given an RCMP escort. On returning him to the airport the team commander remarked that he had not understood a word of the semons he had heard but was convinced of the error of his ways!
* A friend of Eileen Paisley (as she would have been) saw her coming out of the dentist. Concerned she approached her and asked "How's the Mouth, Eileen?"
"Oh He's at home writing his next sermon...."

St Peter is being charged with racism. He was seen putting a sign on the pearly gates yesterday saying "no black bastards allowed".
Haven't had an accident in years. See a lot in my rear view mirror though.
It's very unlucky to be superstitious.

It's probably been doing the rounds for the last number of years in different versions. I have it saved for at least ten years and this is the first time I got to use it. It's validity never concerned me and I like to think that it says more about my sense of humour than it does about my knowledge of physics.
The firefly haunts were lighted yet,
As we scaled the top of the parapet,
But the east grew pale to another fire,
As our bayonets gleamed by the foeman’s wire,
And the sky was tinged with gold and grey,
And under our feet the dead men lay,
Stiff by the loop-holed barricade
Food of the bomb and the hand grenade,
Still in the slushy pool and mud –
Ah, the path we came was a path of blood,
When we went to Loos in the morning.
