I didn't tell them to fuck off. I merely enquired if they wanted a slap.

Eeek, one of their dads might have been a reet big bloke. Good job he didn't come after me. I'd have probably smashed him with the shopping trolley too (obviously I'd have had put my weight behind it).

You see, I hadn't thought of that. And there are loads of 'them' in the area on their way to their caravan site at BZZ, where they enjoy camping.

But presumably they're trained to ignore a "fuck off". Opsec. Sorry. Nuff said.

Nothing wrong with a good old "Fuck off" every now and again.

An old biddy could be construed as 'vulnerable', which aggravates the offence, but then again you could argue 'provocation' i.e. 'she was a daft old fucker'. Any Plod or magistrate would accept that surely.
Yup. i got £350 fine and £150 costs (plus £400 for my Solicitor) when I pleaded 'Not Guilty' to a Section 5 for swearing at a black bloke and his wife...horrible fuckers as they were. Had I pleaded 'Guilty' I would have got £50.

By the way, it got brought up by the Licencing Officer when my Shotgun Certificate came up for renewal.

If you tell somebody to "fuck off", how could you possibly plead 'not guilty', if they heard you? £400 for the solicitor? I hope you told him to "fuck off" down a megaphone.

As for the LO, I would have loved to be a fly on the wall: "well Mr Dicey, er, it says here on page 45, do you have your copy of the, er, notes? Um, that you told someone to "fuck off". Under the circumstances, we feel that you are not able to keep your Purdeys. But you can re-apply in 6 months, unless the said offence is recommitted at any time".

£1000 fine max for a Section 5? Blimey.

You could always say it in a foreigan language.... "Merde!" ... or "Fangou!".... don't know what they mean... but they sound descriptive....!!

I don't mean on here, I mean in the street.

Would it be up to a judge and jury to decide if the person you told to "fuck off" deserved the advice administered or is telling someone to "fuck off" an immediate offence with lots of paperwork?

I say this because I told an old woman to "fuck off" today and she threatened to report me to the RSPCA, which was a bit odd, imho.

    It's a grey area.

I don't tell everybody I meet to "fuck off", just the ones who deserve it. But my notion of 'deserving' may be at odds with society's.
it used to be that if you used words in a manner that made someone feel threatened then it was an assault, physical touching being battery, so i guess its all down to how the fuckoffee felt after you fucked them off really

I HAD to plead 'not guilty' as my job would have gone down the pan had my employer learned that I 'deliberately' swore at a member of the public. There are always reporters from the local paper in the Magistrates Court and I didn't want to end up in the local rag. I deliberately pleaded 'not guilty' so I would be tried by a Circuit (I think) Judge - I was told by the duty solicitor there's rarely any reporters in their court especially for such shite routine cases.

Well. it worked - I didn't get in the paper, my employer never found out and I kept my job (and the shotguns).

The black twats cost me a fortune though.
