It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom -- for that alone, which no honest man gives up,

As true today as in 1320.

    Athletes throat?

Reminds me of when I was with a septic EOD unit for a while (621 EOD, IIRC). JB, one of my mates there went sick and had to have a throat swab taken and sent to the lab. The lab report duly came back with the analysis: "Normal Vaginal Secretions". It was, of course, a piss take but it took him ages to live it down.

This picture was taken by me at 1204 on 20/07/02. 5 minutes before I had just fired the last demolition of the day in a wadi just outside the village of Sharma in South Lebanon. On the way down to check the dems I spotted this beautiful green beetle and decided to take a snap. It was the last photo I was to take for a while; 6 minutes later I was lying in a minefield with my left foot and lower legs ripped to pieces.

That would certainly make your eyes water a tad.
