looks like a problem that came to a head with the help of beer. I have to agree that nobody deserves that much of a shoeing. Nobody helped? Maybe they didn't want the same treatment, white trainers or no.

There is and always has been a time, place and protocol for sorting thses things out.

Some would argue that it is through the formal processes available to the PMC / RSM if it is a mess realted matter.

If it is a straight MilDiscip issue then it is either unit or Provost.

If it is personal it might be time to kick shit out of each other (One to one) in the drying room of a block, a car park or some other appropriate venue.

But under no circumstances is it in the mess, and particularly not when there are others around who might see and leak.

Ifv this was about trying to enforce mess traditions and ettiquette then the clowns involved have managed to bring precisely those values into disrepute.
