The "E" trade badge you speak of did not exist during my time and I finished my 22 just over 3 years ago.
Is this "E" badge something very new or something that was got rid of shortly after WW2?

Well, I remember being made to wear the 'E' trade badge in Arborfield although I cant remember if it was after qualifying as a CET (88/89), or after my CL1(92-93). It was down to the ECE ASM at the time, a total throbber. Much like the way you are coming across.

No, my posts have not been a Waaaahhhh and I am quite willing to continue discussing my POV with other posters here.

Or post here why you think this is a Waahh.

Otherwise just f**k off and live on the glory your father earned (not-so-cryptic reference to posters name)

PS was also a pads brat before serving myself.
Being a pads-brat or ex-pads-brat counts for f**k all in the Naafi.
Unless they were female and then easy meat.
But check their age first otherwise you could find yourself on the sex-offenders list as a paedo.

    Went through Arborfield 85/86.
First attempt at Class1 in 1990. Second attempt in 1992.
Minor altercation down in a sandy area was the reason why a second "attempt" was required. I was RTUŽd at the units request because it was about to be deployed and with only about 3 weeks left to go on the course.

Back to the point. Never heard about this "E" trade badge, then or since?
If it wa only for ECEs then I would have worn it with pride.
If it was a badge for all electronic techs then I would not have worn it and accepted any extras needed.

    This is actually getting hilarious.

I'm just curious Mr Tech, exactly what qualifies you to say what counts for anything in any NAAFI, real or electronic? I was under the impression that a NAAFI was just a bar, not some sort of strange quasi-masonic society with a set hierarchy. Do forgive my ignorance, but after all I am just a lowly pads wife with the perspicacity and morality of an alleycat. Apparently.

As to your comment on pads brats - that's also quite amusing. What would make it utterly side-splitting would be any of the men in my husband's unit who also happen to have daughters being present if you were to voice that opinion in their actual real-life NAAFI. I would pay a considerable portion of my shoe fund for a box seat at that show.

I sincerely hope that you are mistakenly mixing me up with a different, and female, poster on these forums with the username sweet-cheeks.

Otherwise f**k off, you gay bastard! And go try chatting someone else up with the lines "Hello, sweet-cheeks"

    Regards

    I seriously doubt it...

As there appear to be several highly qualified REME chaps knocking about I wonder if one of you might give me the the gap measurement for my spark plugs on my Honda Civic.

I have looked everywhere but I am as thick as fucking pig shit in these matters and your expert advice would be most welcomed.

It's a 1998 1600cc job by the way the tight cunt I am.
