Got a mate, who is cnut of the first water, and a bit of a singist.

He's doing a "Charity acoustic gig" in July which is in support of Help4H.

He wants a suggestion for a song which will mean something to the guys and their families

Stuff that means something to a smelly old b'stard like me may not have any resonance with those still serving.

So, other than " Mrs Brown you've got a lovely daughter", any suggestions?

John Tams version of "Over the hills and far away" the theme from Sharpe, you can find the words on the Sharpe website and you dont need to be much of a singer to get away with singing it in public
