It may be a good time to buy up large area's of land surrounding Bletchley, who knows what may happen in the future.

Oh well, for all the hardships, at least Harrods is as English as fish and chips, I can never see that changing, thank goodness.
Some days you wake and immediately start to worry. Nothing in particular is wrong, it's just the suspicion that forces are aligning quietly and there will be trouble ahead..... Formally known as Mucus, before I lost the log in....

Well two days of digging and searching in the general area and we still haven't found the cunting leak. Surely there must be technology more accurate than a grumpy old bloke in a yellow hi-vis coat, wielding a length of dowelling on a thread bobbin and claiming there may be a leak in the generic area known as "under there"?

Listened to some chap called Beveridge on the Wireless. Theres going to be a welfare state! and an NHS!! I am sure that everyone will act with community spirit and only take what they need and they'll both be cheap ways of making the country a happier place.

I am blooming angry. I went into a pub the other day and there were a load of "Hardmen" slagging off a heavy rescue team who hand't tried to extract child casualties from under water due to not having diving equipment.

The ususal suspects were as always medically downgraded men or in reserve occupations with no ideas of the realities of what they speak.

    Dear ARRSE,

What's all the noise? Bonfire night finished months ago.

    Yours faithfully,

    Mrs Trellis
    North Wales

P.S. Please pass my regards to Sven's father.
In 1953 the UK Defence Budget was 11.3% of GDP. By 1966 it had been reduced to 6.6%. In 2012 it is hovering around 2%. Good job we're no longer expected to fight any wars, isn't it?

Bah ... too much noise and smell. Bloody air ports, or whatever they call them, are not needed. Only the REALLY rich can ever afford to use them anyway, and that's not what we need when there's a War going on.

Build the dammned things in Norfolk and Lincolnshire for our brave Bomber boys, where they're really needed and the local population will be grateful to see something more interesting than a field of cows or turnip.

Thank God my people live in a peaceful village called Sipson, way out west of the noise and grime of London.

Sounds a bit Commie to me. It's a nice thought, but how does Beverage [or whatever] expect to pay for it? Middle England will foot the bill, I suspect.
