It's just a load of SNP pish to help them bring in average alcohol pricing. If you have an alcohol related visit to the doctors or hospital, then you should be charged for it accordingly. The majority of us who enjoy a few drinks, should not be penalised for the spackers who cannae handle their bevvy.
did I mention that the SNP are c*nts

Nor count him as a stranger;
Remember he's his country's stay,
In day and hour of danger.

Ha Ha, back in the good old days in our 4 man room we used to drink a 3 litre bottle of vodka and a crate before we went out for the night to the Landsman in Munster, followed by the breakfast bar

I didn't know you could buy spirits as weak as 15% ABV.

(15% ABV usually refers to a substantial wine or a cheap vermouth.)
Incidentally, "proof" is completely different:
Originating in during the 18th century, when payments to sailors included rations of brandy. To ensure that the brandy being used as payment has not been watered down or was of good quality, it was proved by dousing gunpowder in the rationed brandy, and testing to see if it would ignite. If it didn't ignite, the solution had too much water in it and the proof was considered low or "underproof".
A "proven" solution was defined as 100 degrees proof (100°). This has since been found to occur at 57.15% ethanol. This is still used as the British definition, although only the ABV system is used on bottles and sales. A simpler ratio to remember is 7:4, i.e. 70° proof is approximately 40% alcohol by volume. Thus pure alcohol is approximately 175 degrees proof (175°).

They must be easing down. When I was working in Aberdeenshire '76 to '82 the local fav spirit was voddie, but with coke or Irn Bru, mainly because the coke covered the taste of the spirit and they could get pissed faster and vodka was cheaper. Not too many were drinking the old'water of life,' but downing a bottle of vodka per day was no big deal, plus a few Tennents of course. :D
Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.
I didn't say it was your fucking fault, I said I was blaming you.
