To the army, to every soldier in it. I have a bond of attachment quite independent of any political reasonings. I was a soldier at that time when the feelings are most ardent and when the strongest attachments are formed. ‘Once a soldier, always a soldier’ is a maxim, the truth of which I need not insist to anyone who has ever served in the army for any length of time.

For anyone who didn't see it on Sky News, the recoil kept pushing him back. With an elevation like that he's either firing at a very tall building or at an target at least 1,000m distant.

Great to see on the Beeb as gadgy was forced back a good 30 metres by his spewing weapon. Of course, he'd bandaged the barrel so he could hold it but even his mate couldn't help...

Then you had the intrepid reporter near the front line, his security wallah screamed at him to get going, they scuttled and took cover by a portakabin... well known for all the ballistic protection they afford...
The term bugle originates from the French word bugleret, which was derived from the Latin buculus, meaning young bull.

How come the rebels are doing so well? Is it that Gadaffi's troops are so shit? Or is it that NATO actually bombed the fuck out of everything first and the rebels don't actually know what they're fighting ... apart from the clouds?
