I feel I may have to become a teenager again ! now just need a decent 1/24 MK9 spit kit .
Tamiya have just released a new 1/32 scale Mk.IX kit which might float your boat - try www.hlj.com for a peek. Edited to add: on the homepage, click on the toolbar link marked Aircraft & it'll take you straight to the page the kit's on, 2nd item down. Enjoy!

Catch a train to a plane
to a place overseas.
Over clouds over fields
over rivers and trees.

'Cos I'm drifting without you
borne on the breeze.
From my home!
I would like to build a RC Mossie though, and fly it at German flying days.
Der Der Der Der de de de de de etc......(Can't remember the tune, just know the words)
You'd need a Lancaster to go with that tune (and a much bigger shed to build it in).
No...you're thinking of the dambusters. I'm talking about 633 Squadron. Same basic idea just a cliff instead of a dam, and using Mossies instead of Lancasters. There was another film about the low level raid on Amiens prison, carried out by Mossies. Pretty cool stuff even if they were crabs.
IIRC there was also an EW version of the Mosquito, which jammed, or spoofed, the Luftwaffe homing beacons used by their bombers, resulting in huge amounts of bombs being dropped onto empty heathland instead of the real targets. The Jerries couldn't understand why the post mission BDA showed no damage when the munitions had been jettisoned at exactly the right place.
