Worst getaway plan ever...
Out of the frying pan into the fire?
What on Earth possessed him? Oh, yeah. That's right.
The lure of dope outdid the natural sense of self-preservation. Are professional 'Environmental campaigners' inevitably stoned wasters?Marijuana grows wild in the region, and local women approach foreigners with the greeting, “Smoke ganja?” Until Mr. Solondz’s arrest, residents said, several bars and hostels catering to foreigners allowed people to openly sell and smoke marijuana. We need people who look to the stars, holding the nation and the world in their hearts but at the same time we need down-to-earth people who can do serious and trying work.
In a definite sense, a country's power and prestige isn't only a reflection of its economic power but also a reflection of its people's quality and morality. Moreover, I think the latter is actually more important in the long-term.

So they want to save the planet but ruthlessly sacrifice their brain-cells?
He's bloody lucky the Chinese are handing him back. A nice comfy yank jail versus 10+ in a laogai. Not much of a punishment for arson about. We need people who look to the stars, holding the nation and the world in their hearts but at the same time we need down-to-earth people who can do serious and trying work.

Re: Worst getaway plan ever...
I like this bit
They always want to come back to a 'safe' country when it all goes Pete Tong.... The girls in Gambia wanted deportation to UK IIRC, despite there drug convictions.During a daylong trial last month, Mr. Solondz pleaded guilty to drug charges and asked to be deported to the United States.
