    No mate, military is an adjective, not a noun - but the worst thing is that it's an Americanism, which has just fallen into UK English usage.

    Walking through Woking once, got stopped by some Septics asking the way to Saint Aynes. Took about five minutes of head scratching before we realised they meant Staines...

    During the 80's/90's when estate agents were talking up areas of London there were piss-takes using names like St. Ockwell, St. Reatham and Brighton (with a silent 'X').

    There were also; Claham (Clapham) and Batasear (Battersea), local spelling for both locations was Sh1thole
