Would probably have bought one if it had been.
And for the purchase of that 1 we'd have been grateful, however, the purchase of the 1 thousand plus, we can do a bit more with it.

Lets clear up a few points.

    1. The Arrse maidens calendar was dead in the water, Dolly86 after discussion wrote off the idea.

    2. Jodie, Dizzy etc certainly haven't muscled in on anyone elses idea, in fact quite the opposite.

    3. For an outsider to want to sponsor the forces, its injured and widowed should be embraced and encouraged, not have vitriol and crap thrown at it. Yes I imagine she will benefit from the exposure, I for one will do everything I can to ensure she does, its deserved.

    4. Arrse isn't a bottomless pit of resources which can be tapped into each and every time we get a case in. Only now, twelve months in are we getting outside cash, all down to the likes of Jodie and her family.

    5. When Jodie first came to the site, she made her motives quite clear, she was polite, not gobby, followed protocol and endeavoured to thank those who helped her on her way and bantered with those who slated her. To me she is much more welcome than some of the plankton who post dribble 85 times daily, contributing jack sh1t.

    6. Yes the NAAFI was probably a mistake in posting the calendar stuff, but to be honest Hols4heroes was born in the NAAFI so the mistake is possibly mine in moderation, and should have moved it.

    7. The proceeds of this calendar will got a long way to helping pay for the 31 bookings for widows, limbless and head fcuked soldiers already plotted in and booked to go away next year. Why would you want to drive someone away that was fundamental in helping and supporting that happen.

Besides, both Jodie and Dizzy have both expressed interest in sleeping with me, I can't fit in a full night but am just arranging a 1 hour luvvin voucher for each of them to be posted out.

There endeth my little rant. It doesn't matter whether you do a sponsored walk, mince or lick a toads back, if it makes casualties lives that little bit better let it happen.
What you going to do with the remaining 59 minutes and 30 seconds then?

    Re: MDN in Calendar Shoot

I've had a couple of PMs from people confused about this calendar.

Dolly came up with a rehashed idea of a calendar. The idea first came from Dale the snail a couple or three years ago, but nothing came of it. Dolly8 then attempted to get a venue, models (Arrse trouts) and a photographer (All would have probably needed funding from H4H recources. A simple business plan was put together and the idea was dismissed, that along with people committing on the internet then in the real world letting her down.

Only when the idea was completely dead in the water did Jodie and her mum step in with this idea. It hasn't cost us a penny. Its got us TV exposure, media coverage and more importantly revenue to help with next years cases.

Granted its not for everybody, same as not everyone wants a coin, or an auction item, bumper sticker, or blazer badge. If you don't want one don't buy one, its that simple.

To publically attack someone may well be the ethos of the NAAFI, but expect it to be a two way range if the info you base your argument on is wrong or inaccurate.

Have to agree here, no matter what date or venue dolly came up with, people just couldn't get there, were busy etc etc...maybe it could be a go-er for next year given more time to get it sorted. It was just getting a bit close to the end of the year and time it needed to go into print and despite gargantuan effort from dolly, it just never happened!!

    Watch this space maybe!!

Personally I think that anyone that is trying to raise money for H4H is a bloody star, and who quite frankly cares if they're ARRSE Maidens or not? Yeah, it'd be a bonus, but as its been pointed out, it failed due to poor commitment. Yet some still have a hissy fit as its not to their liking?

They raise money for H4H, we get to drool over them, H4H profile gets raised, and in return they get more exposure in their line of work, and tickets from MDN allotting them timeslots on the "Tower of Power".

    These are bad things, apparently.

    Good lord.
Well done. Here come the test results: "You are a horrible person." That's what it says: a horrible person. We weren't even testing for that.

Maybe next time get the photographer to travel then you have one person travelling rather than 12, dates/venues wouldn't be an issue then?

Aye...i'm fairly sure it's doable, we just left ourselves with too short a time frame to get it done in! By having a longer tiome, we could maybe get 'seasonal' pics too! I'll get in touch with dolly and see if we can't do something (if she doesn't run away screaming)

Don't know what the plan was for this one, but I'm fairly sure there's good photographers on the site who'd do it for free therefore cutting costs of using a professional photographer.
