Now I am not sure if this is the right Forum for this question but it seems to be where the elder(ly?) statesmen and women of ARRSE seem to hang out and people whose life seems to be sitting outside by their s*** observing 'things'.

Anyhoo, the sky has suddenly turned to a nice shade of blue and a big shiny yellowish thing has appeared in the sky. Also the ambient air temperature seems to have risen somewhat.

Can one of you explain what is happening please? Is this the start of the end of the world or is it worse than that?

You've slipped into a coma from taking too many meds.
Don't worry too much though as when you come out of it. you'll find normality has returned and most of the world will be under water :)

If it was my place I would say it would be one of the many charms of Goldfinches. But I don't expect you have got any. They are very rare. I've got loads of course, although one hates to brag.

Unfortunately for all of us (except possibly the Iron Duke - he may be immortal) the end of the world is a foregone conclusion.
However I have been unable to spend much time time "sitting outside my s**d" as the rain is turning my garden into a fair representation of a sub-tropical forest. I just need some heat to bring out the mosquitoes and the tsetse fly.

I am willing to accept the end of the world - so long as a decent distillery survives!

You've reminded me of different charms.
    Greenfinches!
    Of all forms,shapes and ages.
    In skirts and knee-boots!
Climbing in and out of Landrovers.
Wet and steaming in the rain!
    Dark cold nights.
    When closeness was warmth.
Thank you Martin! Good things do come out of evil.
That calm female voice, "Contact - Wait Out".
Or "Send Sitrep" - after a long and boring night.

Then they put them in DPM - and things were never the same.

Almost half a century ago!!!!!!! I am really old!

    I'm off to my shed!

Move to Dorset, we already have the Blandford Fly. One benefit of the recent monsoons is that their breeding season has been disrupted, the nasty bitey barstards.

Surely a group of people as clever as the shedii could build their own distillery after the end of the world. In a shed, of course.

And finally, did anyone else hear 'Old Harry's Game' where the Devil described the Parthenon as a 'posh shed'? Is Andy Hamilton a closet shedii?
