Re: Most bizzare hobby or pass time

I've been doing a very silly sport for 13 years now:

At weekends I like to climb up big hills and sit on the top of them. I carry a big heavy awkward bag filled with various bits of kit that I don't use.

Sometimes I sit and hope the wind blows towards me. Sometimes I hope that it won't blow so hard and sometimes I sit there and hope it will actually blow at all. The big bag is useful for leaning against when I'm waiting for the wind.

There are many people in the UK that meet on the top of hills to pursue this sport. We all sit around and talk about the weather together and then we all climb down the hill and go home.

The Pennines do boast some excellent wind waiting sites I admit.

I once did a spoof hobby to wind up a geek at work (BR) Collecting Railway Telegraph Insulators, joke was a bit difficult as most pole routes were gone but the lads found a few down the bank and I found a book on the subject in the library. I mounted them on the lockers in the depot. Oddly enough I was promoted out to another depot shortly afterwards!

I must admit, trawling thro the Lady Thread and viewing the mighty Meridian's fine collection has become a bit of a compulsary occupation. On top of that, the hobby seems to have developed into spotting which women he has posted on previously. At least that's how it begins, after a few mins I just get blinded by the t i t s.

Now whether this is strange or bizarre, I've no idea, but I collect moles. I mean models of the furry, burrowy animals, not the unsightly brown splotches on folks' bodies. I don't know if anybody's noticed, but you can get models of just about any animal, insect or bird, however, models of moles are very thin on the ground. I can't understand why.

In the 30 years I've been collecting moles, I've only managed to gather 41, and three of those I made myself. So my heartfelt plea to manufacturers of model animals etc is: can we have some more moles, please?

I'm surprised that MDN hasn't posted some of his bizarre habits.
Although it would probably take him several hours to type the list.

I bet he's interesting to talk to.
He's OK, if you're on his wavelength.
Went to an Aerial Wedding recently.... The Church service was rubbish but the reception was fantastic!
