You should check out what the tankies did to the Churchills in NW Europe to defeat the 88mm. You'd swear that there was a complete second set of tracks welded all over the bloody things! Same with Shermans...

There's a good book on Churchills by Osprey in their military modelling series, it should still be available from their website:

Osprey Publishing - Modelling the Churchill Tank

The AFV Club Mk IIIs are pretty good and you can get "working" track sets too.

Here's a Crocodile cleaning up at Belsen... The tracks are Sherman steel T-62 tracks by the look of them, but it's not unusual to see Churchill links used in the same fashion.

Have you seen Gerry Chester's superb North Irish Horse site?

    Index

Gerry was actually there with the NIH in Tunisia and Italy and his site is packed full of useful info on all things Churchill.

Have had one in past so I wasn't hallucinating,
Its a Tamiya guide to modeling the 1/35 scale Churchill VII, full of photos and intricate details so you end up with a unique thing rather than a off the shelf model.
Got a few photos of one of these (dad was RTR in N.Africa & Italy but they aren't that high quality) and have decided that Im going to take my time and produce something special.

Any advice or pointers would be a great help & if someone has one they dont need Im sure we can get to some arrangement
Best kit ATM is the AFV Club MkIII or IV AFV Club AF 35153 Churchill Mk.III British Infantry Tank

It is high time for me to put an end to your sitting in this place, which you have dishonored by your contempt of all virtue, and defiled by your practice of every vice; ye are a factious crew, and enemies to all good government; ye are a pack of mercenary wretches, and would like Esau sell your country for a mess of pottage, and like Judas betray your God for a few pieces of money.

Is there a single virtue now remaining amongst you?

Is there one vice you do not possess? Ye have no more religion than my horse; gold is your God; which of you have not barter’d your conscience for bribes?

Is there a man amongst you that has the least care for the good of the Commonwealth?

Ye sordid prostitutes have you not defil’d this sacred place, and turn’d the Lord’s temple into a den of thieves, by your immoral principles and wicked practices? Ye are grown intolerably odious to the whole nation; you were deputed here by the people to get grievances redress’d, are yourselves gone!

So! Take away that shining bauble there, and lock up the doors. In the name of God, go!

    I need help/advice Chaps, please.
    1. I have the offer of 1/25 Chieftain (Tamiya) radio cont. All I want is to make a static model, so R/C is wasted. Does anybody else make a kit in this scale ?

    2. I am considering converting the Accurate Armour 432 into an early 80s Triffid 439, my scratch building will stretch to that, again does any other Company make this base kit in 1/35 ?

Thanks in advance for your time and help
